Muscat-based construction and engineering group, trading since 2015, offered for a 100% sale at OMR 2.8 million (about USD 7.3 million), free of bank debt. The group runs 54 live projects with a combined contract value of OMR 6.8 million at a 17.7% gross margin.
The group consists of three Omani companies. The first is a design and engineering consultancy for architectural and structural design and site supervision. The second is a construction management company that contracts with owners and earns most of the profit. The third is a decor and painting company. Together they take a project from design through construction to finishing.
The business acts as a construction manager, not a heavy contractor. Site work is subcontracted back-to-back at fixed prices, so cost, programme and quality risk sit with the subcontractor. The group keeps the client relationship, contract administration, engineering supervision and quality control. Owner contracts carry price caps on project materials, and clients buy finishing materials directly, so little cash is tied up in stock. Most projects are funded by the owners’ banks and paid in stages certified by the consultant.
There is no in-house procurement, foremen, drivers, or stores. One site engineer covers 15 to 20 sites, and overheads are about OMR 18,000 a month. About ten new projects a year cover the annual overheads.
Work is focused on two segments: luxury villas of 400 m² and above, and medium and large residential and commercial buildings. Most projects are in Muscat and North Al Batinah. The group does not bid for infrastructure or industrial work. No single project is above about 8% of total contract value.
As of October 2026, OMR 4.0 million is still to be billed on signed contracts, carrying OMR 585,000 of gross profit still to be earned.
Management expects pre-tax profit of about OMR 900,000 a year (OMR 765,000 after 15% tax) from 50 new projects a year. The conservative case is OMR 700,000 pre-tax (OMR 595,000 after tax) from 41 projects. Neither case assumes growth. At the asking price, this is 3.7 times expected after-tax profit and 4.7 times the conservative figure. For comparison, the listed Omani contractor Galfar trades at 5.9 times earnings.
New projects come from four sources: repeat clients and referrals, several real estate developers, consultancy offices, and advertising banners on the group’s own sites. The banners are printed on the group’s own machine, and nothing is spent on conventional marketing.

They will support a 4-month handover, including introductions to key clients. The organisation has no project-manager layer, and one site engineer covers 15 to 20 sites. Planning, cost control and reporting are being digitised so more projects can run without adding staff at the same pace. A small number of commercial disputes with subcontractors are under way. Pre-closing claims and disputes, and any amounts recovered from them, stay with the sellers, and a full disputes schedule is shared in due diligence.
