It’s official now – we have just stepped up deal-making in India with a first-of-its-kind Business Buyer’s Club in Mumbai!
We hosted this exclusive event last week with the aim to mobilize deal-making opportunity for business buyers, investors and business owners based in Mumbai. 8 attractive businesses hand-picked by senior analysts at IndiaBizForSale.com were presented to over 30 buyers and investors – at the end of the showcase, each business received as many as 3 qualified interests from buyers and investors, on an average.
In our constant effort to bring about quick deal sourcing, effective matchmaking and end-to-end deal management, we have taken cognizance of the fact that while technology is an enabler, it is not enough for quick and effective deal-discovery, especially in the Indian landscape. Business Buyer’s Club is a novel concept that brings together genuine buyers and investors looking to close a transaction within the next 6 months, along with credible, quality businesses that are deal-ready. We have tested out the concept with a small but select crowd at the opening edition in Mumbai.
Bhavin Bhagat and Haripriya Bhagat opened the event by sharing their exciting journey at IndiaBizForSale as co-founders, which was then followed by the showcase presentations. The businesses showcased hailed from such diverse sectors as manufacturing, security services, market intelligence and financial services, seeking transactions worth INR 1 – 25 Cr. Professional pitch-deck for each business was prepared and presented by IndiaBizForSale team, followed by a question-answer round in which some of the business owners also participated. The event concluded with a networking lunch that gave the opportunity to the buyers, investors and business owners to interact in person.
Among the buyers and investors who attended the showcase were senior representatives from giant business groups such as the Allstate Group who are looking for acquisition-driven portfolio growth, first-generation entrepreneurs looking for quality businesses opportunities to take the plunge, and non-resident Indians (NRIs) seeking credible businesses in India to acquire, invest or partner with.
