Business Buyer’s Club is back in action – this time in the industrial hub of Surat in Partnership with Basic Roots Consulting!

Business Buyer’s Club, a first-of-its-kind exclusive deal making opportunity for business buyers, consultants, investors and business owners, was organized in Surat on 28th April, 2018 by IndiaBizForSale.com in partnership with Basic Roots Consulting. The businesses showcased in the event were strategically sourced from Indiabizforsale.com, our partner organizations and consultants with mandates who participated in the exclusive event. This is the first time that the Business Buyer’s Club format has evolved to invite consultants with more focus on one-to-one meetings than extensive pitch presentations.

Business Buyer’s Club is a novel concept that Indiabizforsale.com first launched in Mumbai in June 2017 and has received tremendous response since. In our constant effort to bring about quick deal sourcing, effective matchmaking and end-to-end deal management, we understand that while technology is an enabler, it is not enough for quick and effective deal-discovery, especially in the Indian landscape. Business Buyer’s Club brings together genuine buyers and investors looking to close a transaction within the next 6 months, along with credible, quality businesses that are transaction-ready. The day opened with Haripriya Bhagat, co-founder of Indiabizforsale.com, walking the participants through the exciting journey of Indiabizforsale.com, followed by Sonal Biyani from Basic Roots Consulting unfolding the structure of the day. Professor Mayank Patel, a Valuation Expert and CEO of Cradle at EDI Gandhinagar, then took the stage and shared his insights on ‘Growing with Acquisitions and Investments – The Buyers’ Perspective’. Bhavin Bhagat, co-founder of Indiabizforsale.com, opened the showcase by presenting business propositions briefly. The showcase ended on a exciting note with one-to-one meetings and high tea. Business Buyer’s Club Held in Mumbai – Top Businesses in Pharma, Healthcare, FMCG and Manufacturing Showcased

With Business Buyer’s Club, the saga continues higher up. It is a first-of-its-kind exclusive deal making opportunity for business buyers, investors and business owners. This exciting event series has caused a stir among the SME deal-making fraternity, and was first launched in Mumbai in June 2017 on an invite-only basis. This was followed by a full scale event in Ahmedabad in association with GCCI and FICCI Gujarat that received an overwhelming 90+ Buyer/Investor registrations and 60+ seller registrations.

Since then, Business Buyer’s Club has been gaining momentum as the game-changer in quick discovery of authentic, credible and location-specific SME deals. The latest event was organized once again in Mumbai as a response to the enormous enthusiasm we received last time.

From the numerous registrations we received, only 10 businesses made it to the event shortlist after intense scrutiny by our analyst team, followed by field visits and focused discussions. The businesses were shortlisted based on the information made available, genuineness of the promoters, attractiveness of the business, value proposition of products and services, their command on the market, growth potential, investment rationale and overall health of the business.

The 10 businesses that were showcased belonged to 4 important sectors, namely Pharma, Healthcare, FMCG and Manufacturing, and were based in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The average transaction value presented at the event was INR 12 Cr.

Only genuine, serious buyers and investors looking to buy/invest in a business from the above mentioned sectors within the next 6 months were selected for the event. We received registrations from buyers and investors with varied profiles and preferences, from which the 20 most suitable buy-side delegates made it to our event shortlist.

The showcase was a focused conversation between promoters and IndiaBizForSale.com team, alongside a crisp pitch-presentation. The event concluded with preference-based one-to-one meetings and networking over lunch that gave the buyers and investors an opportunity to interact with the promoters in person. 37 introductions were made, with each business receiving an average of 3 inquiries. The businesses showcased in the event were hand-picked by our senior analysts, and only genuine, serious buyers and investors were extended invitation for the day.

We received registrations for more than 65 businesses for this event. Of these, our analyst team visited over 30 businesses in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Rajkot to shortlist for the exclusive showcase. And meticulous scrutiny, we selected only 9 businesses that were presented to buyer-and-investor cohort. The businesses were shortlisted based on the information made available, genuineness of the promoters, attractiveness of the business, value proposition of products and services, their command on the market, growth potential, investment rationale and overall health of the business.

The 9 businesses that were showcased belonged to diverse sectors such as hospitals and healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, packaging, IoT, water tank manufacturing, food catering, garment manufacturing and so on, looking for transactions worth INR 1.5 – 25 Cr, the average transaction value presented at the event being INR 3.25 Cr. The showcase was a focused conversation between promoters and IndiaBizForSale.com team, alongside a pitch presentation. The event concluded with one-to-one meeting and networking over high tea that gave the buyers and investors an opportunity to interact with the promoters in person. Subsequent stages of the deal process for these matches will now be facilitated by IndiaBizForSale.com.

90+ registrations from buyers and investors were received for the event, of which only 45 were selected, based on various criteria such as genuineness, credibility, preference for businesses and so on. The 45 shortlisted buyers and investors who made it to the event hailed from Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Vadodara, Mumbai, Pune, Dubai and Singapore. Total 51 introductions and 45 one-to-one meetings were arranged between business owners, investors and buyers. Within first 4 days of the event, at least 7 follow up meetings have been arranged and more are being organised now.

The event received extremely positive reviews and tremendous enthusiasm from participants and partners alike. 100% of the respondents who shared event feedback stated that they were satisfied with the return-on-investment for the event and found it absolutely worthwhile. It’s official now – we have just stepped up deal-making in India with a first-of-its-kind Business Buyer’s Club in Mumbai!

We hosted this exclusive event last week with the aim to mobilize deal-making opportunity for business buyers, investors and business owners based in Mumbai. 8 attractive businesses hand-picked by senior analysts at IndiaBizForSale.com were presented to over 30 buyers and investors – at the end of the showcase, each business received as many as 3 qualified interests from buyers and investors, on an average.

In our constant effort to bring about quick deal sourcing, effective matchmaking and end-to-end deal management, we have taken cognizance of the fact that while technology is an enabler, it is not enough for quick and effective deal-discovery, especially in the Indian landscape. The businesses showcased hailed from such diverse sectors as manufacturing, security services, market intelligence and financial services, seeking transactions worth INR 1 – 25 Cr. Professional pitch-deck for each business was prepared and presented by IndiaBizForSale team, followed by a question-answer round in which some of the business owners also participated. The event concluded with a networking lunch that gave the opportunity to the buyers, investors and business owners to interact in person.

Among the buyers and investors who attended the showcase were senior representatives from giant business groups such as the Allstate Group who are looking for acquisition-driven portfolio growth, first-generation entrepreneurs looking for quality businesses opportunities to take the plunge, and non-resident Indians (NRIs) seeking credible businesses in India to acquire, invest or partner with.
